We started with our owner, Mike Hamby!

Meet Mike Hamby, Hamby Housing’s Owner

Interviewer: What is your name?

Mike: Mike Hamby, aka “The Mullet Man,” aka “Hambone.”

Interviewer: Can you describe your job position?

Mike: I’m the owner of Hamby Housing and a Real Estate Agent. I meet with sellers to see if I would be a good fit to buy their house for cash in 2-3 weeks in “as-is” condition. Then, I help manage the rehab project with the lead General Contractor, Billy Jankowski. Afterward, we sell the property or refinance to keep it as a rental. There are numerous relationships required to bring everything together!

Interviewer: What is the most common question you get from your clients?

Mike: How much can you pay for my house? I tell them that I offer time and convenience in exchange for a discounted sale. Sometimes they can make more money listing with a real estate agent. However, I know what it’s like to have a stressful house on the market keeping you up at night. So I offer a solution that will solve their obligations quickly.

Interviewer:  Why do you like working for Hamby Housing?

Mike: I enjoy the freedom to make my own path and see those around me succeed. Sometimes we forget how much one transaction affects the lives of everyone involved.

Interviewer: What did you do before working for the company?

Mike: Before real estate, I was in IT. I was bad at it but, more importantly, unhappy. I read the book, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” and made a move to become an entrepreneur and create my dream life.

Interviewer: How would you describe your personality?

Mike: When I believe in something strongly, I bring a lot of passion to it. Otherwise, I come off as laidback.

My favorite quote is, “Live today how others don’t, and you’ll live tomorrow how others can’t.”

Interviewer: Besides Real Estate, what are your hobbies outside of work?

Mike: Work-life balance is important to me. I seem to rotate hobbies depending on the time of year, but my current attractions are cornhole, boxing, fishing, two-step, and sand volleyball. When it gets colder, it will be hunting, hiking, and bowling!

Meet Amber, Hamby’s Office Manager

Interviewer: What is your name?

Amber: Miss Amber

Interviewer: Can you describe your job position?

Amber: Office Manager

Interviewer: What is the common question you get from clients?

Amber: Did you call me? Do you want to buy my house?

Interviewer: Why do you like working for Hamby Housing?

Amber: I love that I have flexible work hours. I feel secure that my boss believes in and trusts me to help maintain his company.

Interviewer: What did you do before working for the company?

Amber: I was in the veterinary business and worked throughout Baldwin and Mobile County over the past 12 years as a Receptionist. I also helped take care of the animals.

Interviewer: How would you describe your personality?

Amber: Bubbly. I like to stay positive and in a happy mood throughout my day.

I’m also patient. I understand when clients get upset, frustrated, or annoyed and feel I can help calm the situation.

Interviewer: Besides Real Estate, what are your hobbies outside of work?

Amber: Spending time with my family and friends.

Tristan: Acquisitions specialist

Tristan: How does your service compare to listing with an agent?

Tristan: What I enjoy most are the flexible work hours and working with our great team.

Tristan: I worked as a property management assistant.

Tristan: I’m hardworking and enjoy meeting new people

Meet Tel, Hamby’s Preferred Real Estate Agent

Interviewer: What is your name?

Tel: Tel Wallace

Interviewer: Can you describe your job position?

Tel: I’m a Realtor or buyer and seller agent. I help people acquire real estate assets and leverage those assets to acquire more.

Interviewer: What is the common question you get from your clients?

Tel: Can you help me buy or sell a home?

Interviewer: Why do you like working with Hamby Housing?

Tel: Hamby Housing has given me a place to learn and grow as a Realtor and future investor.

Interviewer: What did you do before becoming a Real Estate Agent?

Tel: I was a Personal Trainer and Teacher.

Interviewer: How would you describe your personality?

Tel: I am very relatable and the life of the party!

Interviewer: Besides Real Estate, what are your hobbies outside of work?

Tel: Teaching others about holistic wellness, hanging out with my family, and dancing.
